The Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute offers online versions of its Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery pre-op classes. These online classes are a convenient option for those patients who are unable to attend the in-person sessions.

St. Vincent’s Medical Center has been named one of America’s Best Hospitals for Orthopaedics by the Women’s Choice Award®, America’s trusted referral source for the best in healthcare.
The award signifies that St. Vincent’s Medical Center is in the top 4,542 U.S. hospitals offering orthopedics services.
St. Vincent’s Medical Center is one of 455 award recipients representing the hospitals that have met the highest standards for orthopedics care in the U.S. by the Women’s Choice Award.
St. Vincent’s Medical Center is one of only six centers in the country to receive Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery from The Joint Commission, an independent organization dedicated to improving healthcare for the public.
The spine program at St. Vincent’s, a collaboration between the Ayer Neuroscience and the Connecticut Orthopaedic Institutes, is one of only two hospitals in Connecticut to receive this certification. The only other Connecticut facility with this designation is Hartford HealthCare’s Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
These accreditations make Hartford HealthCare the only system in Connecticut with advanced spine certification.
